Police use AED to save life of senior

The police in west Quebec saved the life of a senior. The quick action saved a 68-year old man in cardiac arrest.

Prompt intervention

It was around 6 PM when police officers responded to a call on I’lf Road in La Peche where a 68-year old man was in cardio-respiratory arrest.

The prompt delivery of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using an automated external defibrillator (AED) can save a life.

Taking over from a neighbor, a nurse who had initiated CPR, police utilized the defibrillator to resuscitate the man. Moments later, the paramedics arrived to transport the man to a healthcare facility in Wakefield.
