Food Safe Level 2

We proudly feature Health Canada certified, food safe level 2 programs in the Vancouver Lower Mainland. This two day course is designed for managers, chefs, kitchen manager, owners and individuals that want additional training in food handling, preparing, storing, cleaning and serving procedures. All of the components included from foodsafe level 1 are included in modules of this course as well as additional and more detailed components. We offer this course in both our Vancouver and Surrey training centres.

Course Content

Candidates attending food safe level 2 will learn about common pathogens related to food-borne illnesses, signs and symptoms, incubation period and the food source commonly involved. Participants will learn about filing the appropriate reports when managing possible illnesses and when handling, receive and storing food. Other components about this program include correct cooking, serving and storing temperature. Finally, candidates will learn about proper and effective cleaning and sanitizing techniques. This courses main goal is to promote workplace safety and customer health.

Course Locations

We offer this course throughout the Lower Mainland including in North Vancouver, Coquitlam, Burnaby, Richmond, Delta and Surrey. Our main training locations are featured in Surrey (Newton) and in Vancouver (Kingsway). For more information about our training locations visit our “locations” page.

Course Cost

The cost of food safe level 2 with Vancouver First Aid is 110 dollars. This cost includes taxes, manual and certification fees. We are committed to offering the lowest prices in the Lower Mainland.

Course Length

This course is a two day course that takes approximately 16 hours to complete.

Registration

To register for food safe level 2 select the course date, time and location from the selection below. Courses are offered throughout the week at different dates, times and locations.

Pre-requisites

Prior to attending food safe level 2 candidates must obtain a food safe level 1 certificate. Please bring this certificate on the first day of the course.

No Pressure Policy

At Vancouver First Aid we have a “no pressure” policy that states if you do not complete the course on the first attempt you can re-take the course at no extra cost. Candidates must complete the final text with a grade of 75% or higher to successfully complete the program.

Certification

Candidates that successfully complete this program will receive a food safe level 2 certificate that meets Health BC standards. This certificate does not expire.

Refunds and Transfers

Refunds and transfers are not accepted within 72 hours of the course. Prior to 72 hours of the course candidates can receive a full refund or transfer to another course date / time.
