Standard First Aid Recertification Courses in Vancouver First Aid
Vancouver First Aid Ltd offers standard first aid recertification courses. A standard first aid recertification, also known as a intermediate first aid, takes approximately 8 hours and is dependant on class size and candidate background. Standard / intermediate first aid renewals include CPR recertification with review in the use of AED’s. Candidates should bring previous manuals and standard first aid and CPR certification card. Prerequisites for Standard First Aid Recertification Courses in Vancouver:
To be eligible for a Standard First Aid recertification, candidates must:
Have completed a full or recertification course within the past 3 years.
Present a valid certification card from a credible provider, such as St. John Ambulance, the Red Cross, St. Mark James Training, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, or SAFE First Aid.
Important Note:
Expired certification cards will not be accepted.
Candidates who fail to present a valid card at the start of the class will not receive a recertification card.
Prerequisites for Standard First Aid Recertification Courses in Vancouver:
To be eligible for a standard first aid and CPR level “C” refresher course candidates must have completed a full course or a recertification course within the past 3 years. You must have completed your previous certification through a credible provider such as St Mark James Training, the Red Cross, Lifesaving Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Johns Ambulance, or SAFE first aid. You need to present your previous card to the instructor at the start of the class. If you fail to present your previous card, we will not issue a recertification card.
Course Content:
The recertification class will cover the same topics in the full course but in a more condensed format. Candidates will review there first aid skills using several different learning techniques and complete the class with several scenarios. This SFA recert will cover the same topics as the full first aid course, however, the aim of the course is to review candidate skills and to focus on new changes and standards set by provincial regulations.
Certification for Standard First Aid Recertification Courses:
Successful candidates will receive a nationally accepted standard first aid and CPR level “C” certification card upon completion of course. The certificate is valid for 3 years. Candidates may be required to re-certify sooner based on employer or school policy.
Cost of the Renewal Course:
The cost of the SFA and CPR level “C” re-cert is 79.99 (84.99 with HCP included). Course fee includes an online manual, certification fee and all applicable taxes. Hard copy manuals are available for an additional $10.

Length of the course:
The length of the refresher course is 6 to 8 hours.
*Refunds or transfer of standard first aid recertification courses are only accepted 72 hours prior to the original course. There are no refunds for rescheduled events.
