To ensure accurate and effective mask fit testing:
- Avoid eating, drinking, smoking, or chewing gum within 15 minutes before your appointment.
- Remove all facial hair that may interfere with the mask seal.
Participants must be clean-shaven in all areas where the respirator seals to the face. Those who arrive with facial hair or stubble in these areas will not be permitted to conduct the fit test in accordance to CSA standard CAN/ CSA-Z94.4-4-02, Selection, Use, and Care of Respirators. Please note that refunds or rescheduling are not available in such cases.
