According to Constable Olivier Lapointe, the pool was not ready. The water was green and you cannot see if the child was inside.

The firefighters pulled the boy from the water and attempted CPR. He was quickly rushed to a healthcare facility where he was declared dead.

The police are still investigating and have not ruled if this was a case of negligence.
